The Fortunecooker 2012

Since my acquaintance with engineer Maarten Romijn I have wanted to help a lot with the promotion of his so-called fortunecooker. We attended many trade fairs in the Netherlands and eventually Maarten also wanted to start production in the Philippines. We have been busy with this and even with the help of family a real Fortunecooker has been made. I have done my utmost to promote the fortunecooker in Dipolog city well. We even got the chance to participate in an important event. While this should have been allowed access from Maarten initially, Maarten unfortunately changed his mind at the last minute.

The investment for the necessary production and publicity of a fantastic show model of the Fortunecooker in the Philippines involved an amount between EUR 1000 and EUR 1500. For this, several Philippines would work full-time for the Fortunecooker for several days. Unfortunately, Maarten suddenly found the total amount too high. Suddenly Maarten suddenly had to study all the specifications thoroughly and have them explained. Unfortunately, it was not clear to the engineer that this total low amount, including material costs and preparation time costs, was certainly not too much. Unfortunately, he has lost a lot of energy in one go. I'm not sure exactly how many hours I volunteered to contribute to the Fortunecooker myself. For that alone, such a small amount should certainly not constitute a dismissive behaviour.
